Dear Mr. Wallace2,
Since last June I have heard nothing from Mr. Marchant3 or yourself.
I understand that after going through your father’s letters you were going to write to me — & I was going to send you the letters that I have of D[octo]r. Wallace[’]s. This is how the matter stood — & you were going to say what letters you found of my Husband[’]s4[.] Since then I have heard nothing —
I should have been delighted to let you use some 50 letters — if you wished to do so. —
And to exchange with you your Father’s letters for the same nos. [number] of my Husband’s, after you found out how many of my husband’s you could find. I asked you to call: as it is easier to explain than to write about certain matters —.
I received a line & the enclosed from Mr. Marchant yesterday, & called at his office & was told he was away: & they could not give me his address.
So I send you this line to say that you are welcome to publish the enclosed5, & I shall be [2] pleased to send you the letters of D[octo]r. Wallace — & to hear what letters of my Husband’s have been found by you since last June. -
Believe me | Yours truly | Eveleen Myers6 [signature]
I you care to call here I can see you — & would prefer handing you the letters. -
My Mother is dangerously ill since last June — her life hanging between life and death. —
