Mr. Alfred Russell Wallace,
Dear Sir,
I have been a student of your works on evolution, of your theory of the action of the principle of Natural Selection and the struggle for existence. Your book "Social Environment and Moral Progress" strongly appealed to me. I take the liberty of sending you "Philistine and Genius" which may possibly interest you as it is written from some similar standpoint. I also take the occasion of sending you "The Psychology of Laughter."
I should be under great obligation to you, if you were kindly to inform me whether or no the volumes reached you.
Yours respectfully | B. Sidis [signature].
