Dr R. A. Wallace[sic],

Dear Sir,

As I was trained in the seventies and later, on your works and those of Darwin's, allow me to be one of those who are permitted to send you as the head of British field workers and practical thinkers the thanks and congratulations, I naturally feel on your reaching the age of 90 years.

In my own little way I am a worker too, as the few papers inclosed will [2] show; it is the worker alone who thoroughly appreciates the work and value of work, and the best can only be paid for in that way.

With every good wish and blessing — that you may have continued power to work.

Believe me, | dear Sir, | Yours sincerely, | E. Adrian Woodruffe-Peacock2[signature].
