Dear Sir
Noticing your letter in today's Daily News. I venture to send you a copy of a little book of mine, dealing with the same topic from the purely educational side.
Might I be allowed to say that there exists a great gap between biological research & speculation and educational thought? Could you not, though an article in one of our reviews, do [2] something to bridge this gap over? More particularly in correction with moral instruction & training this gap exists and I have no doubt that the International Moral Education Congress, which meets at the end of this week, will be in large measure a fiasco because teachers will talk bad biology ("drawing out" &c.).
If you could add your name to those who are aiming at definite improvement [3] of our educational system, I am sure many teachers & educationists would be grateful/
I a, | Yours faithfully | F. H. Hayward (Inspector of Schools) [signature]
Mr Alfred R. Wallace
