Dear Dr. Wallace,

Your letter of November 16, accompanying the papers of Spruce relating to meteorology and anthropology, was under consideration by the Council yesterday. The two volumes containing the vocabularies in and the introductory essay were submitted to Sir Clements Markham to report upon. As he states that he himself as made much use of these volumes in his own publications, and as they have been utilized elsewhere, practically all the information which they contain has already published.

The Council desire me to thank you again for so kindly presenting much a valuable collection of material to the Society.

Your very truly | J. S. Keltie [signature]
