Mr. Gladstone2 recommends that the following Pensions should be charged in the Civil List for the year 1880-81:—
Mr. Alfred Russell[sic] Wallace — Two hundred pounds per annum;
Pen-y. Bryn. St Peters Road, Croydon.
in recognition of his eminence as a Naturalist.
Mrs Rodgers — Seventy five pounds per annum;
in recognition of the service of her late husband the Rev[eren]d John Rodgers, in the cause of Public Elementary Education.
