The original book was Wallace, A. R. (1898) Wonderful Century: Its Successes and Its Failures London, Swan Sonnenschein & Co. The Wonderful Century Reader (1901) was an abridgment of the 4th edition, published by Swan Sonnenschein & Co., Ltd., not George, Allen and Unwin Ltd. The Wonderful Century: The Age of New Ideas in Science and Invention (1925) was published as the 7th edition by George, Allen & Unwin, Ltd., London.
