My dear Sir
I should have acknowledged your letter of the 3rd. of this month,1 before this date, but have been daily expecting to receive the collection you say you have sent. As it is now 18 days & I have seen nothing of it, I think it better to let you know, that you may make enquiries about it.
I am now looking over my [2] duplicates & choosing a set for you. Your list of desiderata contains great numbers of species which do not exist in any English Collection, — and many others which are uniques in my collection or in those or Mr. Hewitson2 & the British Museum. I perceive however many that I can send you, & also several undescribed species & varieties from the less known islands of the Malay Archipelago.
Hoping soon to receive the Collection you have sent.
I remain | My dear Sir | Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
Dr C. Felder
