Old Orchard,

Broadstone,

Dorset.

March 9th. 1913

Dear Mr. Marchant

I send you now a List of all my books, so far, which I should much like to have printed on fly-leaf at end of "Social Environment and Moral Progress."

I also return your type-written List, with additions.

13.a. is 2 other books in one volume — with omissions and additions — & 2 new chapters & is therefore a new work. [2]

Spruce's1 book which I edited took me more than a year's hard work, & is really partly my own, & sh[oul]d be included.

Also "Vaccination a Delusion" is quite a new book from the one you have & one of my best. I send you the only spare copy I have. It is demonstrative. Dr. Renata's[?] statement at back of Title page is alone a demonstration!

The Uppendix[sic] is a demonstration of the Royal Commission's Ignorance of what they reported on.

Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature] [3]

Please let me have a proof of the List as it will appear in the Book & return the MSS.

Yours very truly | Alfred R Wallace [signature] [4]2

Spruce, Richard (1817-1893). British botanist, explorer and collector in the Amazon; lifelong friend of ARW.
Page 4 is a blank page with later annotations "56654 6 of 36" and "9 March 1913".
