Dear Dr. Felder,
The bearer of this, Mr. Henry Deane,1 is the son of an intimate friend of mine, and I shall esteem it a favour to myself if you can show him any attention when he is in Vienna.
He goes to Hungary and [2] Transylvania as a Civil Engineer in connection with a Railway now in progress, and any introductions from yourself to friends in those countries will be very valuable to him.
I send you by him a short paper on Eastern Butterflies2 and hope to send you a few others shortly.
Believe me | Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
