Parkstone, Dorset

July 28th. 1895

Mr dear Clement Reid

We shall be much pleased to see you & your sister when you come to Parkstone. Wednesday we shall be disengaged if you can come that day & can reach here by 4 to tea. But if you have a fine day & come earlier I am sure to be at home.

I & Mr. Mitten had a good time on the whole in Switzerland. We had fine weather & went over a lot of fine country & Mr. Mitten [2] brought home plants which have filled over 100 pots, besides others for determination & quantities of mosses. I have also a nice lot of living plants & have just been constructing an "alp" for their reception, with a constant trickle of water which is essential to most alpines.

I was delighted with the signs of glaciation, & have got materials for another anti-Bonneyite1 paper.

Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]

Referring to Bonney, Thomas George (1833-1923) British geologist.
