Old Orchard,

Broadstone,

Wimborne.

March 6th. 1909

Dear Mrs Reid

Since I sent you the bit of peat I have learnt that it comes from Somersetshire, in the district between Evercreech and Glastonbury — where there is a great area of it, and it is in places very deep.

I dare say Mr Reid knows the district.

I shall hope some time in the summer to have a look at your bit of wild ground at Milford.

Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
