My father, Dr. A. R. Wallace asks me to say that he recieved your book quite safely & regrets that he omitted to acknowledge it.

He is very much offered to sow [?] for sending it to him but he has been so busy with his own literary work and with [2] correspondence that he has had no leisure yet to read your "Monastic Library".1
