Dear Sir
Many thanks for your letter which was forwarded to me here. I am, as you have heard, a collector of Coleoptera & should be very glad to receive consignments from Br[itish] Guiana especially of Amelliorinn[?] Batresteda[?] & Glaters[?] the industrial sort.
But I have so many claims both on my time and purse just now that I cannot do anything now in the way of advancing any money. If Mr Birch arranges to go out & is free for [2] beetles. I will gladly arrange arrange a day about a month hence for him to come over & discuss matters with me & to see my collection, which is a very large one.
I shall be very glad to show it to you also if you are ever in the neighbourhood & can spare a day to see it.
I would like some assistance in authentically naming my Melolonthides[?]. Can you advise me how best to get it down so that when I have a little more time I can follow it up myself. I should be very much [3] obliged to you for any advice you can give me.
Yours truly | C.H. Schill [signature]
