The Hamilton,
Washington D.C.
Friday morning
Dear Mr. Ward
If you are not otherwise engaged will you be so good as to show me the way to High Island on Sunday? It seems likely to be quite fine and as I shall probably have only two more Sundays in Washington I want to have the advantage of your guidance & the pleasure of your society in some more botanical excursions.
If you can come here at 10 am. on Sunday morning (or a little earlier if you like) and we take the car as far as it goes to Georgetown I daresay I can <manage a> walk. If you can come do not trouble to write.
Yours faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
