Dear Miss Eastwood,

We were so glad to get your letter as we found your overshoes directly you had gone and did not know where to send them — I am glad you met Mrs Bertram and from your account of the meeting it must have [2] been very interesting.

What a lot of meetings you go to!!

I am sorry you did not get to Stonehenge, but I am not surprised you did not find the motor still running. Perhaps you will be able to come down here again before you return to America it would be very nice if [3] you could. I enjoyed your visit to us very much.

We have had a lot of wet weather but today is perfect, lovely sun and just a little frost to give the air a tonic — I long to go for a long walk and get quite away from civilization.

With all good wishes | yours sincerely | Violet Wallace [signature]
