Nov. 3.

Dear Miss Eastwood

Many thanks for the stamps, but why so many ? The parcel only cost 3d — I quite forgot to tell you the best address, it is Iona, Duke Road, Brighton[.] [2] My mother says you take the tram along the Dyke Road as far as it goes and Iona is the last house, standing alone she thinks.

Please remember me to them when you go. I send you back the three stamps — [3]

My latest idea is to take a tiny cottage in the country and 'camp out' in it with the children — not so nice as your kind of camping, but then look at our climate.

Yours very sincerely | Violet Wallace [signature]

Have you come across Dr or Mrs Scott, both [4] botanists, they used to live at Kew, but have now retired.
