Dear Sir,

I have shown your letter re collector in Cuba etc. to Mr. Rothchild. We cannot at present engage another collector for this museum, as too much material is coming in, but should be pleased, if your young friend would communicate with us when he has succeeded in reaching Cuba or another tropical place. I do not think that there is a collector of coleopheso[?] at present in England who would advance money, unless it be Mr. Schill at Dibsbury, Manchester.

Most collections are nowadays specialists who take only certain families. Mr Schauss, a rich bachelor, lives at Grenthaus[?] House Toricheuhaus[?]. He confines himself to American Heprocera[?] the has collected himself in Mexico, Brazil, Cuba etc.

They are building railways now in Cuba. Perhaps your young friend, who is a skilled workman, will find life cheap there, as he will be useful acquisition to a cheque[?].

Believe me | Yours faithfully | K Jordan [signature]
