Novr. 29th 1906

Dear Miss Garnett

Will you be so good as to send me the 5 letters of Sir W. Hooker in the year 1851 when copied. Also there for to Mr. Bethane and Mr J. Smith (4 I think) of the same year.

To follow there all the letters of the years 1852-1855from the Rio Negro sent to Sir W. Hooker, these three to Mr. Bethane and one or two to Mr. Smith.

This will enable me to get on with the account of the Rio Negro and Orinoco vogage. [2] Following these, I should like the letters to Mr. Bethane from Yurimaguas and Tarapoto Peru (May 1855 to March 1857).

Lastly — all the others from various localities in Ecuador & Peru.

You may as well read those you have now finished at once, as a sample, so that I can, if necessary, make any other suggestions.

Yours very truly
