I was glad to have your P. card last week. I shall be anxious to hear how your collecting goes on the northern hills. As there is about 50 miles length of them they may be richer than the [MS burned] The northern & southern slopes have probably somewhat diff[erent] climates. IF at all good for insects generally it would be a pity to leave them for an uncertain [MS burned] and loss of time. There must ba a good seas<on’s> work there. If you find a really good place with some inhabitants make it your hea<d> quarters, & have some trees cut. I am longi<ng> to hear what you decide & how you get on. I [MS burned] you a "Clarion" with a letter of mine in case you do <not> get it.
Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
