The Editor of the Gardener's Chronicle2

D[ea]r. Sir

Will you please inform me in "Answers to Correspondents" who are the largest growers of species of Cape Heaths. They seem [1 word deleted] almost to have gone out of notice, but having here a suitable soil & wild climate I want to try growing the finest[?] in the open border with only a [1 word deleted] moveable shelter from severe frost.

Yours faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
