My dear Dr. Masters1

I did not get on at all with the Cape Heaths! They all died the first of those 5 hard winters we had – 1891-5.

I have now got a better garden & a very nice view, here, where I have built a house and am, as usual, amusing myself raising plants from seed whenever I can get them – trying them out of doors or in a small greenhouse with varying success.

Should you ever be in [2] this neighbourhood (half way between Poole and Wimborne) please give us a call.
