I had got specimens of the true H[irundo]. Javanica at Lombock [Lombok] just before going to Macassar [Makassar], & have therefore no doubt the Macassan bird which I entered under the same name in my notes was the same. It is the bird with rufous forehead and dark ashy under parts.
