My dear Mr Enys
Thanks for the Erica siliaris. We have certainly never seen it before as it is so distinct & handsome. If you can find any young plants & can send them with the roots tied up in damp sphagnum I shall be much obliged as we can then make them grow. We left Alderley on Thursday having spent a very delightful week.
Yours faithfully | Alfred R Wallace [signature]
over1 [2] P.S. Now you know our wants in the house line will you kindly keep your eye (one eye) open in your neighborhood for anything suitable. I should like Cornwall on account of its semi-tropic climate if other needs, — sunshine, air, a good open view, — a little land, a decent cottage, — and supply of water can be had — cheap!
