My dear Mr Murray
Be so kind as to remember I must have one copy (pages cut) of the last 1000 to be printed on account of the few new corrections, sent off today.—2 The number will now be 5500— Would it be worth while as a puff & for my pride’s sake to put on title “sixth thousandth”.3 It is correct thus to speak of number?? But I beg you not to be guided by me in your decision: it may look too vain, or some other objection.—
yours very sincerely | C. Darwin
