My dear Sir

The pamphlet about which I wrote to you will I hope be printed off in a week’s time.1 Please to send me 250 out of the 750 copies addressed to “Orpington Station S.E. Railway”; & kindly send me a postcard informing me when they are despatched. Be so good as to send a copy to all the reviews on your list, especially to all the Scientific Journals & Periodicals & to all medical Journals including Humphrey Journal of Anat. & Physiology.2 I shd think it wd be useless to send it to the great reviews or Daily papers. I shd however like it to be sent to the Spectator, the Field Gardener’s Chron. or any other in which you think there wd be a chance of a notice.

I do not wish to spend more than £5 or £6 in advertisemts: I shd like it to be advertised thrice in “Natur⁠⟨⁠e⁠⟩⁠” twice in the Athen— & once in the Academy.3 I suppose this will consume the greater part of that sum; but pray judge for me about spending the remainder.
