My dear Sir
I received your kind letter this morning. I had before proof of your willingness to help me by a letter from the Faraday's3 & a very proper & pleasant one. I am led to think they have not complained of their troubles to me before they had much reason4[.] Many thanks to you for your great kindness. I hope you find your own health improved & knowing that you were ill when here should have been glad to hear that you are now well.
Perhaps you did not know Mrs. Barnard of Claremont Square (my wifes mother) died last week5[.] I mention it only because I thought that through Mrs. William Barnard6 you would feel interested in the Event[.]
Ever Your Obliged | M. Faraday
