Faraday to James Timmins Chance   23 November 1860

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 23 Novr. 1860

My dear Sir

Time gets on very fast and when December once comes in I shall find it difficult to leave London. So I will come to you on Monday1 as my last letter2 said to see the separate ribs at all events[.]

I had yours just now and like your plan of determining the lamp place - I am anxious about the colours - & the way in which they will experimentally combine on the screen - but cannot say much in a note[.]

Our notes cross continually - but I will come on Monday & we must try to use our time effectively.

Are the numbers determined by one set of bands sure to be right for the bands of other pannels? I shall have your answer to that & other questions on Monday.

Ever Yours | M. Faraday

Jas. T. Chance Esq | &c &c &c

That is 26 November 1860.
