George Biddell Airy to Faraday   18 January 1861

Playford near Ipswich | 1861 Jan 18th.

My dear Sir

Your note of 16th1. has found me here, where, without entirely neglecting business, I get a few more mouthfuls of air per diem than I can at Greenwich. I propose to return on Monday2.

Pray set me down for any of the days mentioned (April 26, May 10, May 17) that suits you best3. I hope by these days to have sufficiently made out what my numerous co-labourers have seen and perhaps what may fairly be inferred from their seeings.

With deepest respect, | I am, my dear Sir, | Yours very truly | G.B. Airy

Professor Faraday | &c &c &c

That is 21 January 1861.
Airy did not deliver a Friday Evening Discourse during 1861.
