Faraday to George Biddell Airy   22 March 1861

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 22 March 1861

My dear Astronomer Royal

The enclosed papers are all presented & some taken away - but we want to send out the rest to our Members[.] If you by any chance think it possible you will take Friday May 3 we will let it stand 1 - but if you think you would rather not, then De la Rue is to give me his photographic matter2 & I propose to mark out as in No 2. I fear there is not time to reprint the notice but if there is & you wish it we will do our utmost[.]

Ever faithfully yours | M. Faraday

Faraday (1861b), Friday Evening Discourse of 3 May 1861. The lecture card for the session, RI MS GB 2: 124, listed Faraday as the lecturer.
