Faraday to Henry Bence Jones   15 April 1862

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 15 April / 62

Dear Dr Bence Jones

1 Let me have Mr D’Orseys letter - it contains a particular address1[.]

2 I have only this moment learned that Mr Butler2 declines lecturing3. The general advertisement appeared this morning 4[.] It will appear again on the 25th - unless you tell me before the 23rd - that he will go on[.]

3 I wrote an hour ago to Mr Roscoe about expenses5 & sending him a cheque for £5 on that score - asking him whether that is right - I suppose I ought to make it up £12- now[.]

I will try to draw up some form of expression for a notice in reference to Mr. Fearons6 letter & will see you upon the matter in a few days - so that we may do what is best after Easter7.

Any word as to paragraphs 1, 2 & 3 which you may send to the R.I. I shall get either tomorrow or Saturday8[.]

Ever Yours | M. Faraday
