Dear Mr Faraday,

I deferred answering your letter¹, because I expected to be able to see you, from one day to another; now as I shall be in town for certain the day after to-morrow, would you be good enough to send me a line (to Buckingham Palace) to say at what hour on Friday I may call on you?
