Faraday to Ernst Becker   12 December 18621

Brighton | 12 Decr. 1862

My dear Dr. Becker

I have just received your very kind note2. I cannot answer it in time to save you trouble but I hope as you will not find a letter from me that you will not go to the R.I.

If I could have hoped by taking a train to London to catch you at Buckingham Palace I would have started up to town at once[.]

I shall be in London on Tuesday3 & remain there and will come to you any where or do any thing you may direct me. I am ashamed of all the trouble I am giving you - but thank you deeply.

Ever Truly Yours | M Faraday

This letter is black-edged due to the death of Margaret Barnard, see letter 4236.
