[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | London | Thursday 5 Jany | 1865.
Dear Mrs. Thomson
Very sincere thanks for your kind present & for your kinder remembrance. I cannot consent to let another answer for me else Jeannie would do it - or my wife rather, but I would rather do it for myself and thank you for them too. They are very kind and take great care of me just when I am not worth it.
Please give my thoughts i.e. my remembrance to Thomson, once more My view of things is now much contracted but I ever think with great delight on the pleasure which I had at the meeting at Aberdeen1 & also again near Glasgow at Your fathers house2[.]
Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday
