John Tyndall to Jane Barnard   13 June 1867

Royal Institution | (Thursday June 13 1867)

My dear Miss Barnard

I am very grateful to you for your note. Your uncle did find me a bit of the glass1, but since then the electric lamp enables us to project the thing upon a screen and show it to a large audience. A bigger bit of glass is therefore useful. Saturday, Monday, Tuesday or even Wednesday would suit my purpose.

Yours ever | John Tyndall

I was so glad to hear from the cook2 that your uncle was brighter and better.
