The MS is a hand-written facsimile of the Society’s then current form, by A. C. Macdonald: purple ink for the parts of the certificate normally printed, black for the parts normally entered by hand on the printed form, except A C Macdonald’s signature, which is in purple ink. M has signed, and added the address and date, in black ink.

Nomination forms had been requested from London, see C. Pasco to M, 15 September 1887 (in this edition as 87-09-15a)..
