17th Oct. 1907.

To Alfred Russel Wallace Esq. LL.D, D.C.L., F.R.S.

Dear Sir,

Will you be so very kind as to read the enclosed, & at the same time [2] freely pardon me for taking the great liberty of sending it to you. I somehow felt led on to write it to Mr. Arnies, but I feel that you wd not mind reading it first. [3] I enclose other things by myself wh I ask you to be kind enough to read, & consider. That is besides the copy of my mag. "The Earth" containing my article on "the Precession of the Equinoxes" wh I mention in my letter to Mr Arnies.

[4] I am the leader of an army of Zetetics — or Truth-Seekers — Learned & scientific men & women are in our ranks — many far more worthy — I feel — of leadership than myself. Some who dare not admit their unbelief in the Whirling Sea — & earth globe. But many [5] accept my teaching.

I teach that the physical cause of the daily revolution of the sun is [illeg.] by the Ether wh is in constant, & rapid circulation & moving around the N. & S. centres, or poles, over & above the earth like two great whirlpools. That the Sun wh with its rays, is carried around in & by the two sets of currents is a comparatively small Electric body, [6] and that when it enters one set of currents — say in the S. — its reflected image is seen in the N., & vi.ver. That the two sets of currents move in opposite directions, but work in perfect [7] harmony.

The see my article on the Signs of Zodiac -

The word "Light" in the 1st of Gen. — or luminiferous Ether — is synonymous with Electricity differs from the word — in the orig. — used where 14th ver- [8] it is stated God made two great lights — on the 4th day of Creation — to give light upon the Earth. More correctly, this word sd have been translated Lightholders. I am now writing on the motions of light. Pray consider my position –

dear sir, | yrs ever sincerely | E. A. M. Blount1[signature]

[9] I am sorry I have not got a perfect copy of this or my Astronomy, also that no. 69 of The Earth is not revised. I am in the train, & [10] cannot do so. Please return these 2 things. I will send you my Astronomy soon. This will show you my teaching.
