Dear Dr. Keltie
I have you letter of yesterday. I now send you, Spruce's2 Maps, & some notes & sketches, of the Rivers "Pacimoni" & "[1 word illeg.] which he ascended for the first time, & which I think no one has been up since. They may be of use to any future traveller in that district who wishes to make a more complete map of it.
Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
P. S. The scale is shown by measurement on one of the sheets, — but of course the whole is only approximate, determined by bearings & rate of canoe travel, estimated frequently, & with long experience.
